Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideki Ryuga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Ramires!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Ryuga misses.
Ramires keeps Ryuga at a distance using the push kick.
We've been told by Ryuga's head coaches at Body Pain_12elite_599$+VM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Ryuga throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ramires was covering up waiting for the punch and Ryuga finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramires is staying active underneath Ryuga, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ryuga takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ryuga tries to pass to full mount but Ramires defends it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ryuga perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Ryuga darts in looking for a takedown but Ramires gets double underhooks and turns Ryuga into the cage.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ryuga.

Ramires misses with a head kick.
Ryuga appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ryuga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ramires is fending him off so far but Ryuga persists. Nope, Ramires circles away and we're back to standing.
Ryuga moves in looking to clinch but Ramires pushes him off.
No luck for Ryuga with that takedown attempt.

Ramires darts in and clinches Ryuga up against the cage.

Ryuga drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ramires dives on top into guard.

Ramires got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ryuga has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramires has managed to get both his arms back between Ryuga's legs - danger averted.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ryuga moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ramires gets to his feet - Ryuga follows without any prompting.
A left and a right from Ryuga both land. Nice combination.

Ryuga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ramires avoids it really well and circles away.
As Ryuga backs off Ramires throws a huge counter combo but Ryuga manages to avoid it all.
Ramires tries to close the distance and clinch but Ryuga swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ryuga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramires defends it nicely.

Ryuga shoots in for a takedown but Ramires shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ryuga tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ryuga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ramires keeps Ryuga at a distance using the push kick.
Ramires tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ryuga swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ryuga is looking for a counter combo.
Jose Ramires is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramires throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hideki Ryuga will probably get the nod.

Ryuga stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ryuga tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ramires shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ryuga eats them both and turns towards Ramires to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Ramires throws a right hand that Ryuga ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryuga also avoids with ease.
Hideki Ryuga is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ryuga goes for a double leg but Ramires avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ramires continues to drive forward.

Ramires lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ryuga circles away quickly and effectively.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ryuga, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
