Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Noah Sauvageau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Tucker! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sauvageau connects with a single shot there. Tucker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Nice straight punches there by Sauvageau. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sauvageau. Tucker shoots for a takedown but Sauvageau saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sauvageau throwing a counter right hand but Tucker manages to avoid it. Tucker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sauvageau manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sauvageau fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Tucker clinches with his opponent.
Tucker tries for a takedown but Sauvageau manages to get underhooks.
Tucker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sauvageau after a bit of a struggle. Noah Sauvageau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Tucker. Tucker wants a takedown but no success here.
Sauvageau lands a shoulder strike. Sauvageau is working Tucker over against the cage. Sauvageau misses with a body punch.
Sauvageau breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sauvageau lands with a shot to the body. Tucker on the wrong end of a nice hook. Sauvageau scores with a nice head shot. Sauvageau cracks Tucker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Tucker is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Sauvageau. Tucker is still on wobbly legs! Can Sauvageau finish him? Tucker looks winded! Tucker switches off momentarily and Sauvageau cracks him with a monster right hand! Tucker topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Sauvageau dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Sauvageau!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Noah Sauvageau! During a confident post fight interview, Noah Sauvageau thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
