The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moretti gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Dale pulls guard effortlessly.

Dale is looking to stand up but Moretti isn't so interested in that idea.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moretti trying to control the position from guard on top but Dale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moretti thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dale is working an open guard so Moretti takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Dale scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Moretti is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dale's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Moretti kicks Dale off and gets back to his feet.
Moretti throws a jab when Dale was well out of range.
Moretti closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dale to the mat! Dale manages to get full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Moretti is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Moretti passes Dale's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Moretti wants to work for an arm triangle but Dale is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Moretti is keen to just control but Dale is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Moretti in particular looking to stall.
Moretti is trying to work for a kimura but Dale is defending well.
Moretti trying to control the action but Dale is working from the bottom.

Moretti thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dale's head.
Dale is looking to control Moretti's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dale avoid being mounted?
Moretti scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Dale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moretti on the ground.
Moretti is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dale defends it well.
Dale is refusing to be controlled, as Moretti sits in half guard.
Moretti frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moretti is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dale can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Moretti is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dale has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dale!
Dale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Moretti has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dale doesn't defend quickly enough and Moretti has managed to lock this one up! Can Dale escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Moretti on a fantastic submission victory.
