Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ebner Estavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dexter Berg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ebner Estavez!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Berg does no damage.
Berg misses with a takedown attempt
and Estavez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Dexter Berg has been cut.
Estavez shoots in looking for a takedown but Berg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Estavez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Berg wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Berg blocks a head kick by Estavez.

Estavez instigates a clinch.
Berg tries to pull guard but Estavez won't allow it.
Berg has Estavez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Estavez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Berg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Berg wants to take the fight to the mat but Estavez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Berg drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Estavez tightens his grip and picks Berg up, before dumping him to the ground. Berg manages to land in guard.

Estavez stands and steps away. Berg gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Estavez drives through with a takedown into Berg's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.


Berg is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Estavez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Oh Berg is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Estavez distracts Berg with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Estavez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Berg is working an open guard so Estavez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Estavez shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Estavez slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Estavez lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Ebner Estavez!
