Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ted Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Jeremy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ron Jeremy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cruz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Jeremy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cruz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jeremy somewhat.
Ted Cruz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Jeremy shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cruz eats them both and turns towards Jeremy to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Cruz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jeremy circles away quickly and effectively.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jeremy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cruz takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Cruz for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jeremy goes for a takedown attempt but Cruz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jeremy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cruz as he jumps to the side.

Jeremy wants to take the fight to the mat but Cruz manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Well Cruz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
