Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ike Francis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Musad Amado! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amado tries to bum rush Francis with a series of wild strikes but Francis uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A slapping leg kick lands for Amado.
Amado has closed the distance and engaged Francis in a clinch.
Francis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Francis throws a low kick but it's checked well by Amado. Amado misses with a two punch combination.
Francis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Francis just content to control the position. Amado struggling a bit here. Amado seems a little lost for a moment, as Francis dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amado is trying to improve his position. Amado can't do much from the bottom here. Amado looking for a sweep but Francis has passed into full mount! Oh no! Francis lands a big shot there that rocks Amado but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Amado wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Amado trying to control the action but Francis just sinks the hooks in.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Francis is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Amado knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Amado for a finish. Francis landing with strikes. Amado is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Francis connects with a nice short shot to Amado's temple. Francis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Amado is looking to control Francis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Amado avoid being mounted? Amado looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Francis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Amado throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Francis is thwarting Amado's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A head kick by Amado misses and Francis counters with a stiff right hand. Amado throws a combination. Francis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Ike Francis has been cut. Francis avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Amado enables Francis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Amado manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Francis tries to free his leg and advance position but Amado is retaining full guard. Francis with a nice head shot there. Francis's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amado is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Francis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Amado can do to turn this around? Francis's corner is telling him to maintain position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Amado looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Francis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Francis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Amado is just riding it out for now. Francis eventually gives up the hold. Amado flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Amado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Francis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Francis blocks the strikes from Amado.
Amado wants to get back to full guard. Francis wants to control but Amado is keeping him busy. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Francis shoots in but no luck this time. Amado gets a clinch. Francis jumps guard and drags Amado to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Amado's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Amado stays in close to Francis's body and controls the position. Francis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Amado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Amado trying to control the position from guard on top but Francis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Francis seems keen to control Amado's posture. Francis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Amado pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Francis is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amado scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ike Francis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ike Francis's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Amado moves into range and clinches up with Francis. Amado turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Francis is looking to regain half guard here but Amado keeps moving and retains side control. Amado in side control, just content to control the action for now. Francis is trying to control Amado's posture but Amado avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Francis regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Francis looking for submissions off his back. Amado not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Amado is trying to control the action in half guard but Francis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Amado throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Francis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Amado pulls his head out easily. Francis is controlling Amado's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Amado tries to sprawl but Francis drives through with a takedown into half guard. Amado is looking for a sweep. Francis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Francis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amado keeps working. Amado tries to get to full guard but Francis has control of the leg. Amado trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Francis performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Amado wants to improve his position but Francis is controlling well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Amado moves into the clinch. Francis breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Francis closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Amado quickly recovers to half guard. Francis is trying to work for a kimura but Amado is defending well.
Francis passes into side control, despite Amado's attempt to control the position.
Ike Francis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Amado wants to control but Francis postures up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ike Francis. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Francis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
