Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Metsola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peltsi Vajari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesus Metsola! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peltsi Vajari! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Vajari. Metsola does a little dance to reset his feet. Metsola throws a big counter combination but Vajari scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Metsola moves into the clinch. Our sources have told us that Metsola has been working on his elbows in the gym. The referee is keeping an eye on Metsola - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Vajari taking a breather. Metsola is pushing Vajari up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Vajari gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Metsola.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Metsola keeps control of Vajari as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Metsola is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Metsola scores with a nice short uppercut. Vajari wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Vajari tries to break the clinch but Metsola is controlling the position. Vajari is trying to drag Metsola to the mat but Metsola just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Metsola misses with an elbow over the top. Metsola controlling the action here for a moment.
Metsola manages to break the clinch.
Metsola shoots in looking for a takedown. Vajari tries to sprawl out of it but Metsola keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vajari manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vajari throws a combination that misses and Metsola moves into the clinch. Vajari changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Metsola fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jesus Metsola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peltsi Vajari. Metsola has his takedown stuffed and Vajari counters with a left and a right that stings Metsola. Metsola is breathing heavily. Metsola shoots in and bounces Vajari off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Metsola is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Vajari not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vajari working a defensive guard but Metsola manages to pass into side control anyway.
Vajari is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Metsola asserts his dominance and retains side control. Metsola gets to mount! Vajari was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vajari throwing hammer fists to the chest of Metsola. What's that going to do exactly? Metsola content just to control the position here. Vajari tries to lock up and control but Metsola gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Metsola is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Vajari is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Vajari flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Metsola anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Vajari and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Metsola slips an arm under Vajari chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Metsola has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Metsola is squeezing on Vajari like an anaconda would it's prey. Vajari fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jesus Metsola!
