Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Judo Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zwayne Baruk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Judo Jim has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Judo Jim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zwayne Baruk! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jim shoots for a double leg takedown but Baruk sprawls well. He's pushed Jim's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Baruk looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jim shoots in for a takedown but Baruk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jim doesn't manage to clinch there - Baruk circles away.
Baruk closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jim quickly recovers to half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Baruk lands a nice short elbow. Jim is looking to escape. Jim is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jim is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jim gets full guard. Jim tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jim manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baruk manages to get himself to full guard.
Jim pushing down on Baruk's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jim tries to pass the half guard into mount. Baruk knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jim takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baruk is defending against the submission attempts here by Jim.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jim is looking to take a break and control but Baruk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jim is working for a kimura but Baruk is defending it quite comfortably.
Jim is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jim wants to control but Baruk is keeping him busy. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jim is looking to advance position but Baruk won't allow it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jim fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Judo Jim. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jim rushes Baruk and presses him up against the cage. Jim changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Baruk fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jim scoring well with a low kick there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jim shoots in for a takedown but Baruk shows good takedown defense. Jim connects with a leg kick. Baruk looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Baruk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jim. Jim gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jim manages to break the clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Jim. Jim closes this distance looking for a takedown but Baruk circles away. Jim tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baruk swivels and escapes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jim. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jim throws a right hand that Baruk ducks under and follows up with a left that Baruk also avoids with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Judo Jim will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jim doesn't manage to clinch there - Baruk circles away.
Jim throws a head kick that misses. Jim looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Baruk is looking for the big counter here. Judo Jim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jim lands a big head kick that sends Baruk tumbling to the mat! Jim takes a step backwards and waves Baruk back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Baruk is rocked! Jim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baruk swats him away and circles back towards the center. Baruk is still on wobbly legs! Can Jim finish him? Jim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Baruk sprawls well. Baruk wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jim gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Judo Jim. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick by Jim - that's a beauty! Baruk is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Jim can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Judo Jim!
