Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Valko Dragov!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Stark does no damage.
Stark misses with a right hand
and Dragov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dragov throws a series of punches but Stark moves out of range.
Stark tried to counter with a leg kick but Dragov avoided it.
Dragov blocks a jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dragov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dragov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stark as he avoids it easily.
Stark loads up on a big right hand but Dragov slips the punch.
Stark misses with a wild combination.
Dragov moves out of range of the strikes.
Dragov is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Stark with a body shot.
Dragov shoots in looking for a takedown but Stark manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dragov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stark looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Rickon Stark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valko Dragov.

And Dragov tries to counter it with a takedown but Stark pushes his down on his head and steps out.

It seemed like Dragov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Stark doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dragov darts in looking for a takedown but Stark gets double underhooks and turns Dragov into the cage.
Dragov checks the leg kick nicely there.
Dragov lands with a hook. Stark tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Dragov counters with a single leg into guard. Stark didn't expect that.

Dragov passes into half guard.
Dragov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stark's head.
Stark tries to kick Dragov off but Dragov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dragov moves nicely into side control.
Dragov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dragov tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Dragov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stark, who protects the arm well.

Stark pushes Dragov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dragov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Dragov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stark keeps working.

Stark tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Poor strikes thrown by Dragov there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Dragov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stark looks a forlorn figure.
Dragov breaks from Stark's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Stark is rocked!

Dragov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Stark because Dragov loaded up on that one.

Oh Stark is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stark squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Stark seems to have got his legs back now.

Dragov wants to finish this one by submission but Stark is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dragov.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Dragov misses with a body shot.
Stark connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dragov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stark avoids it really well and circles away.
Stark throws a hook but Dragov avoids it easily.

Dragov gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dragov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dragov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stark swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stark is looking to stand up but Dragov isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stark throws a series of punches but Dragov moves out of range.

Dragov lunges at Stark with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Stark's hand.
