Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trey Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfie Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Trey Gill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alfie Stewart! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stewart shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gill is trying to defend but Stewart finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Stewart controlling the action here. Stewart not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stewart tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gill. Stewart is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gill doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stewart. Gill keeps control of the position for the meantime. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gill is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart moves nicely into side control. Stewart looks up at the clock and then as Gill takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Stewart smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Stewart wants to stand but Gill has his arm trapped. Gill wants to control but Stewart postures up. Stewart decides to stand back up. Stewart steps back and let's Gill get back to his feet. A shot to the liver by Stewart. Beautiful body shot. Stewart gets a takedown into half guard. Stewart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gill keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gill is trying is best to control the position here. Stewart content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gill tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Stewart tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Stewart wants to control but Gill is keeping him busy. Stewart lands strikes from half guard. Gill is trying to stand up here but Stewart is controlling him well. Stewart stands up and beckons Gill to join him on the feet. Stewart tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gill feinted with a counter takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stewart throws a nice looking combination but Gill bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stewart as he avoids it easily. Stewart throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gill tries to counter by clinching up but Stewart breaks away and moves out of range. Stewart tries to clinch up but Gill circles away and keeps his distance. Stewart misses with a kick to the body.
Stewart manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gill on his heels. He'll look to pass Gill's guard now, I'm sure. Stewart forces his way into half guard. Gill is trying to stand back up but Stewart is controlling him
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gill is staying active underneath Stewart, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Gill tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Gill keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gill is controlling Stewart's position as best he can from this difficult position. Stewart works his way into side control. Stewart in the domination position with Gill hanging on. Stewart trying to control the position but Gill is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alfie Stewart dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Stewart defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gill. Alfie Stewart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gill tries for a takedown but Stewart circles away easily and Stewart counters by clinching up. Gill tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stewart smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trey Gill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stewart bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gill wants to control but Stewart postures up. Gill is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Stewart works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart stands up. Stewart misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gill was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Stewart darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Stewart wants to pass the guard but Gill is defending well. Gill is trying to stand back up but Stewart is controlling him
Stewart trying to control from half guard but Gill is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stewart throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Stewart is thwarting Gill's attempts to control the position. Gill is not content to let Stewart control the position. Stewart is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Gill is refusing to be controlled, as Stewart sits in half guard. Gill trying to control from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stewart looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gill can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stewart controls the pace. Stewart trying to control the position from guard on top but Gill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gill looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Gill keeping moving, preventing Stewart from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stewart throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Gill is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Stewart trying to control but Gill is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stewart scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stewart is trying to control. Gill wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alfie Stewart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Stewart closes the distance and clinches. Gill pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Gill's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Stewart is trying to maintain a safe position but Gill gets an underhook and turns Stewart into the cage. Gill is trying to push Stewart away but Stewart has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Gill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stewart throws a one two combo.
Gill shoots for a double leg takedown but Stewart sprawls well. He's pushed Gill's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. As Gill backs off Stewart throws a huge counter combo but Gill manages to avoid it all. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stewart drives through with a takedown into Gill's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Stewart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gill swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gill looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gill is trying to hold Stewart in close to prevent damage but Stewart has managed to pass into half guard.
Gill works his way to full guard. Good work. Stewart wants to control from the top but Gill keeps moving. Stewart has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stewart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gill swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gill trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gill not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stewart stands up and waves to Gill to follow him. Stewart fails in his attempt to clinch. Gill tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Stewart manages to circle out of the way. Gill gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stewart to score an easy takedown into full guard. Stewart wants to pass the guard but Gill is keeping the position. Gill is trying to keep Stewart in close.
Gill is pulling down on Stewart's head to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stewart has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gill is proving hard to escape from. Gill not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gill keeping moving, preventing Stewart from controlling successfully. Gill managing to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Stewart throws a right hand that Gill ducks under and follows up with a left that Gill also avoids with ease. It looked like Gill wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Stewart tries to clinch but Gill moves out of range. Gill appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gill swats away the attempt to clinch by Stewart. A little feinted left hand from Gill on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Stewart shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gill manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Stewart takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stewart won't allow Gill to sweep him here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stewart looking to pass the guard. Trey Gill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alfie Stewart is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Stewart would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Alfie Stewart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Stewart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
