Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Rasd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Rasd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Ray! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ray misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rasd shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ray defends it nicely. Rasd shoots in looking for a takedown but Ray manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rasd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ray throws a shot to the body.
Ray scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ray moves nicely into side control. Rasd is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Rasd's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasd tries to buck Ray off but Ray is having none of it. Rasd is working hard here to advance position. Ray tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Rasd tries to bench press Ray off him but Ray keeps the position. Ray wants to take a breather but Rasd manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ray. Ray avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rasd not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ray looking to pass the guard. Rasd wants to get back to his feet but Ray is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rasd is striking but Ray is not phased and passes to half guard. Ray controlling the action here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rasd fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Rasd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rasd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ray's waist but Ray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rasd off to one side. Rasd has his takedown stuffed and Ray counters with a series of strikes. Rasd will be more careful next time no doubt. Ray fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rasd, pushing him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasd jumps guard but Ray turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ray jumps into guard, dragging Rasd to the mat.
Rasd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ray pulls Rasd in close to prevent any damage. Ray is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rasd defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ray looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rasd is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Ray dominated that round. That's time! Rasd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ray shoots in but no luck this time. Rasd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ray's guard. Ray is looking to stand up but Rasd isn't so interested in that idea. Ray is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rasd throws a big right hand that misses. Rasd pushing down on Ray's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ray tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Rasd manages to move to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasd pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rasd breaks from Ray's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ray is squirming around, avoiding Rasd's attempts to control the action. Rasd is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ray can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. BOOM! Rasd connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray tries to lock up and control but Rasd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ray is trying to escape the mount.
Rasd trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rasd is in the full mount, landing strikes. You get the feeling that Ray really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasd avoids the attempt from Ray to control. Ray in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Rasd controlling from mount. Rasd postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ray looks a forlorn figure.
Rasd lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ray hang on? Ray tries to reverse the position but Rasd maintains control.

Ray manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rasd. Ray moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ray closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rasd to the mat! Rasd manages to get full guard. Ray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ray connects with a couple of short punches. Rasd looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ray puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray wants to stand but Rasd has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Ray slips a nice elbow through Rasd's hands, connecting with Rasd's forehead. Rasd is looking for a sweep. Ray is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ray seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rasd does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ray is thwarting Rasd's attempts to control the position. Ray slows the pace down in half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rasd is trying to control but can't.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray tries to clinch up. Ray throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rasd was covering up waiting for the punch and Ray finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ray stands up from Rasd's guard - Ray perhaps looking for a knockout. Rasd tries to keep at a distance but Ray has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rasd shoots in looking for a takedown but Ray manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rasd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rasd gets tackled into the cage by Ray. Ray maintains the clinch. Ray pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rasd sprawls well initially but Ray persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rasd is trying to control but can't.
Ray perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ray wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Jim Ray comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ray has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
