Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doug Fresh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lasnur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doug Fresh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lasnur! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fresh on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Fresh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lasnur sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fresh somewhat. Lasnur tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lasnur stuffs the takedown. Lasnur flicks out a counter leg kick but Fresh steps away. Lasnur fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lasnur is looking to clinch. Fresh throws a nice looking combination but Lasnur bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lasnur forces Fresh back against the cage and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fresh breaks the clinch.
Lasnur shoots in looking for a takedown. Fresh tries to sprawl out of it but Lasnur keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fresh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lasnur is looking to clinch but Fresh is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fresh lands a leg kick that knocks Lasnur off balance momentarily. Lasnur shoots for a double leg takedown but Fresh sprawls well. He's pushed Lasnur's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Doug Fresh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lasnur. Fresh goes for a double leg but Lasnur avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lasnur continues to drive forward. Lasnur shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fresh's guard. Lasnur trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fresh throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fresh wants to sweep but no luck. Fresh is looking for a triangle but Lasnur pushes his legs off easily.
Fresh keeping moving, preventing Lasnur from controlling successfully. Fresh looking for a sweep. Not yet Fresh, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lasnur looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lasnur fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fresh avoids it really well and circles away. Lasnur misses the shot to the body. Lasnur throws a head kick that misses and Fresh holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Lasnur is trying to stall.
Lasnur looks winded! Fresh manages to break the clinch.
Lasnur steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fresh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lasnur shoots in for a takedown but Fresh shows good takedown defense. Lasnur shoots in for a takedown but Fresh shows good takedown defense. Lasnur misses with a wild combination.
Fresh scores with a nice head shot. Excellent takedown into side control there by Fresh. Fresh wants to stand but Lasnur is controlling his arm. Fresh working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lasnur is trying to improve his position. Fresh is looking to take a break and control but Lasnur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fresh working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fresh landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doug Fresh dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Fresh throws a leg kick but Lasnur checks it. Fresh changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Lasnur closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lasnur lands in his opponent's guard. Lasnur trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fresh's guard. Fresh working for a triangle but Lasnur defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fresh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fresh tries to free his leg and advance position but Lasnur is retaining full guard. Fresh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fresh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lasnur is proving hard to escape from. Fresh drops back looking for a leg! Lasnur is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lasnur manages to kick Fresh off! Fresh jumps back into Lasnur's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fresh wants to control from the top but Lasnur keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lasnur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fresh won't allow Lasnur to get back to his feet. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lasnur keeping moving, preventing Fresh from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Fresh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. As Fresh backs off Lasnur throws a huge counter combo but Fresh manages to avoid it all. Doug Fresh is winning the standup battle so far. Lasnur shoots in but no luck this time. Lasnur defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fresh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lasnur keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Fresh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lasnur tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fresh misses with a hook. Lasnur ducked under it nicely. And Lasnur tries to counter it with a takedown but Fresh pushes his down on his head and steps out. Fresh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lasnur wants to clinch up but Fresh keeps it at a distance. Fresh is looking to counter the offense by Lasnur and move into the clinch. Lasnur changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fresh tries to avoid it but Lasnur manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fresh to the ground. Fresh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lasnur feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fresh seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Fresh wants to stand but Lasnur is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lasnur distracts Fresh with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Fresh throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Fresh controls Lasnur momentarily but Lasnur frees himself. Fresh can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lasnur controls the pace. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Fresh is trying to control the position but Lasnur postures up.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A momentary lapse in concentration from Fresh enables Lasnur to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fresh manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lasnur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Fresh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lasnur but Lasnur pushes him off and we're back to square one. Doug Fresh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fresh tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lasnur manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Fresh defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lasnur. Lasnur bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lasnur trying to control the action but Fresh is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fresh is looking to reverse the position.

Lasnur trying to control the action but Fresh is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Fresh wants to control but Lasnur postures up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fresh gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lasnur to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lasnur wants to control from the top but Fresh keeps moving. Fresh throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fresh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lasnur pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fresh is keeping the position for now. Lasnur trying to control the position from guard on top but Fresh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Fresh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lasnur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fresh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lasnur will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lasnur gets tackled into the cage by Fresh. Fresh maintains the clinch. Lasnur prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doug Fresh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fresh is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lasnur is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fresh to the mat. Fresh regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Lasnur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fresh swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fresh trying to control the position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fresh is trying to keep Lasnur in close.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Lasnur comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lasnur has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
