The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Universe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Universe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Universe cracks Hardin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Kevin Hardin has been cut.
Universe lands a nice hook to Hardin's body. Hardin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Universe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hardin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hardin is aggressively charging in as Universe backs up avoiding any damage. Universe tosses out a jab and Hardin runs right into it face first! Hardin is out cold! Universe dropped down on all fours and is barking in Hardin's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
