Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heinz Doofenshmirtz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Heinz Doofenshmirtz! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doofenshmirtz needs to keep his hands up - Emelianenko had a free shot at his head there. Doofenshmirtz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Emelianenko fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Doofenshmirtz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Doofenshmirtz moves out of range of the body kick. Emelianenko checks a leg kick. Emelianenko swings for the body but Doofenshmirtz moves out of range.
Emelianenko tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Doofenshmirtz throws a leg kick which misses Emelianenko's front leg but catches the back leg as Emelianenko tries to avoid it. Emelianenko has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Doofenshmirtz finds it's way round the side to connect with Emelianenko's head. Doofenshmirtz throws a leg kick but Emelianenko moved away. Doofenshmirtz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Emelianenko's guard. Doofenshmirtz throws an elbow that misses. Emelianenko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Doofenshmirtz's guard. Nice move by Emelianenko!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Doofenshmirtz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Emelianenko stacks Doofenshmirtz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Emelianenko! Doofenshmirtz tries to control but Emelianenko manages to take his back. Doofenshmirtz trying to control the hands but Emelianenko breaks the grip.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doofenshmirtz is in bad spot here.
Emelianenko tries to get the hooks in deep but Doofenshmirtz pushed the leg off. Emelianenko is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Doofenshmirtz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Doofenshmirtz is trying to break free.
Emelianenko controlling the position well here. Doofenshmirtz rolled but Emelianenko kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Doofenshmirtz trying to control but not successfully. Emelianenko has the hooks in. Doofenshmirtz is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Emelianenko passes his arm under Doofenshmirtz's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Doofenshmirtz taps!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexander Emelianenko! In his post fight interview, Alexander Emelianenko started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
