Asfaw gets a clinch.
Hawk has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Asfaw after a bit of a struggle.
Hawk misses with a hook from the clinch.

Hawk goes for a takedown in the clinch but Asfaw prevents it.
Asfaw lands a knee to the body.

Hawk gets tackled into the cage by Asfaw. Asfaw maintains the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Asfaw obliges.

Hawk has Asfaw pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hawk pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Asfaw tumbling to the mat - Hawk dives into Asfaw's guard.
Asfaw wants to stand and escape but Hawk is having none of it.

Hawk drops back, looking for a kneebar! Asfaw looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Asfaw looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Asfaw!

Hawk tries to buck Asfaw off but Asfaw is having none of it.
Hawk sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Hawk is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Asfaw is tapping! Great win for Hawk!

In his post fight interview, Doyle Hawk started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
