Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piipapadapum Papapadapum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anand Pawar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Papapadapum comes to the cage accompanied by iam scatman. Papapadapum has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Piipapadapum Papapadapum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anand Pawar! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pawar instigates a clinch. Papapadapum breaks from the clinch.
Papapadapum wants to clinch up but Pawar keeps it at a distance. Papapadapum fails with the takedown. Papapadapum is breathing heavily. Pawar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Papapadapum's guard. Papapadapum working a defensive guard here.
Pawar sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Papapadapum preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Papapadapum is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawar tries to free his leg and advance position but Papapadapum is retaining full guard. Pawar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Pawar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pawar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pawar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pawar looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pawar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pawar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pawar tries to stand but Papapadapum is controlling from the bottom. Pawar is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Pawar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Pawar forces his way into half guard. Papapadapum kicks Pawar off and gets back to his feet. Pawar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Papapadapum quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Pawar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Pawar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Papapadapum keeps working. Pawar passes to full mount! Pawar lands a heavy elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pawar unloading with bombs! Pawar raining down shots from the mount! Pawar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Papapadapum is rocked! Pawar controlling his opponent. Oh Papapadapum is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pawar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pawar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Papapadapum's face.
Pawar is working for a guillotine from mount but Papapadapum frees his head quite easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pawar looking to isolate an arm here. Papapadapum doesn't see it coming and as Pawar extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Pawar!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Anand Pawar! A relieved looking Anand Pawar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
