Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pakiya Djisamsoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Djisamsoe comes to the ring accompanied by As The Smoke Clears. Pakiya Djisamsoe looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Djisamsoe doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Djisamsoe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Djisamsoe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mendez pinned against the ropes. Mendez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mendez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Djisamsoe circles away.

Mendez drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Djisamsoe gets full guard.
Djisamsoe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mendez moves into full guard.

Djisamsoe drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Djisamsoe seems to have locked his on tight now - Mendez screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Djisamsoe, as he picks up the win!
