Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tataki Shugami! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stone The Real ! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Shugami checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. The Real looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Shugami shoots in for a takedown but The Real shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shugami fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The Real throws a leg kick but Shugami checks it. The Real scoring well with a low kick there.
Shugami moves out of range of the body kick. The Real throws a low kick but Shugami moves out of range easily. The Real has managed to clinch.
The Real has Shugami pressed against the cage, preventing Shugami from circling away and getting back to striking at range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shugami tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. The Real smiles and moves away.
Shugami really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Shugami avoids the head kick by The Real .
Shugami looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? The Real is fending him off so far but Shugami persists. Nope, The Real circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tataki Shugami. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shugami misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Real swats away the attempt to clinch by Shugami. No luck with that takedown attempt from Shugami. The Real clinches with his opponent.

The Real is struggling to control the position. The Real keeps control of Shugami as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Shugami wants to break the clinch but can't.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The Real tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The Real is pushing Shugami up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Shugami takes a knee right on the jaw!

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Stone The Real . Shugami checks a leg kick nicely. The Real throws a leg kick which misses Shugami's front leg but catches the back leg as Shugami tries to avoid it. Tataki Shugami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Real buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shugami shoots in but The Real avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shugami blocks a leg kick. The Real tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shugami feinted with a counter takedown. The Real tries to land a front kick but Shugami steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Shugami half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stone The Real dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tataki Shugami's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
The Real darts in and clinches Shugami up against the cage. Shugami is trying to force a seperation but The Real has the dominant position. The Real working Shugami over with knees to the body. The Real pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The Real misses with a leg kick. Shugami dives in and grabs The Real 's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Real pushes down on Shugami's head and hops out. Shugami shoots for a double leg takedown but The Real sprawls well. He's pushed Shugami's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Both fighters circling a little - The Real finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. The Real throws a leg kick but Shugami sees it coming and moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Real lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The Real tried to score with a low kick but Shugami checks it. The Real throws a sloppy head kick and Shugami moves out of range easily. Shugami tries to counter with a takedown but The Real is quick to defend against it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The Real has taken the fight to the clinch.

The Real will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Shugami up against the cage. Stone The Real seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. The Real goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The Real 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Real gets in close and instigates a clinch. The Real drops Shugami with a big knee straight up the middle! Shugami is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Shugami is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The Real buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oh Shugami is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The Real has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The Real rushes Shugami and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The Real jerks Shugami's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Shugami drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! The Real goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from The Real because Shugami was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Stone The Real ! In his post fight interview, Stone The Real started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
