The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gee clinches up against the cage.

Baska breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Baska moves into the clinch successfully.
Baska drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gee pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gee clinches with his opponent.
Baska wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gee has him pressed against the cage.

Baska is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gee pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gee is struggling to control the position.
Baska tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gee just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sammy Gee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vittu Baska.

Gee blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Baska's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Baska jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gee walks away with a smile on his face. Baska gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sammy Gee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gee changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

It looks like Vittu Baska has been cut.

Gee cracks Baska with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Baska looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gee finish him?

Baska is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gee closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Baska out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
