Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jalmari Pullo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Zarco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antonio Zarco acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jalmari Pullo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Zarco! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zarco throws a right and a left that both miss. Pullo appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Pullo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pullo, as that shot connected.
Pullo misses with a leg kick and Zarco counters with a low kick, right behind Pullo 's knee. Pullo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zarco pinned against the cage. Zarco gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pullo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pullo lands in his opponent's guard. Pullo wants to pass the guard but Zarco is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pullo postures up.
Pullo passes easily into side control. Nice work. Zarco manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pullo prevents Zarco from improving his position. Zarco keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Zarco won't allow Pullo to pass to mount. Zarco controlling the position for now. Zarco is trying to get back to full guard. Zarco is refusing to be controlled, as Pullo sits in half guard. Zarco wants to control but Pullo is keeping busy.
Pullo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Zarco wants to get back to full guard but Pullo has passed into side control. Zarco is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pullo off and has taken his back! I really don't envy Pullo right now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Zarco misses with punches from the back. Pullo tries to break free.
Pullo rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Zarco wants to take a breather but Pullo is having none of it. Pullo is looking to control Zarco's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pullo avoid being mounted? Zarco trying to control from half guard but Pullo is working away. Pullo is pressing down on Zarco's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zarco avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Zarco has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pullo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Zarco is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pullo pulls down on the head and he's put Zarco to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jalmari Pullo!
