Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tero Elo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Pigeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pigeon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hank Williams Jr. - Country Boy Can Survive. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigeon throws a solid leg kick but Elo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pigeon.
Pigeon scores with a one two! Elo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Tero Elo has been cut.
Elo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pigeon defends it nicely.
Elo tries for a takedown but Pigeon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pigeon moves in looking to clinch but Elo pushes him off.
Elo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Nordic Top Team in the buildup to the fight.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pigeon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Elo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Elo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pigeon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pigeon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
