Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ched Bendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riley Biers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ched Bendes has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ched Bendes seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ched Bendes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Biers! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Biers throws a sloppy head kick and Bendes counters with a one-two to the body. Biers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bendes's waist but Bendes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Biers off to one side. Bendes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Biers on his heels. He'll look to pass Biers's guard now, I'm sure. Bendes stays in close to Biers's body and controls the position. Bendes passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bendes is trying to get an arm triangle but Biers is defending well. Bendes works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Biers tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bendes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Biers is trying to escape the position but Bendes is controlling the position. Biers is trying to control Bendes's posture but Bendes avoids it. Biers wants to get back to his feet. Biers is trying to escape the position but Bendes is controlling the position. Bendes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Biers for as long as he can get away with. Bendes working the ground and pound. Bendes tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bendes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bendes tries to move into full mount but can't pass Biers's legs. Bendes slows the pace down. Bendes lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bendes wants to stand but Biers has his arm trapped. Biers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bendes has knee on belly momentarily but Biers bucks him off and regains half guard. Bendes is working for a kimura but Biers is defending it quite comfortably.
Bendes seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bendes seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Bendes is working for a kimura but Biers is defending it quite comfortably.
Bendes perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Biers is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ched Bendes dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bendes feints and as Biers raises his hands in defense, Bendes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bendes is stalling in the full guard. Bendes stands and steps away. Biers gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bendes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Biers's half guard. Bendes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Biers on the ground. Biers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bendes is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Biers wants to get back to full guard. Bendes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Biers sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Biers is looking to improve his position.
Bendes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Biers is just riding it out for now. Bendes eventually gives up the hold. Bendes is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bendes frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bendes controlling his opponent. Biers wants to hold on but Bendes pushes him away. Bendes working the ground and pound effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bendes avoids the attempt from Biers to control. Bendes is working for a guillotine from mount but Biers frees his head quite easily.
Bendes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bendes is landing with some decent strikes but Biers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Biers is bucking up trying to escape but Bendes cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Bendes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Biers can do to turn this around? Bendes raining down shots from the mount! Bendes lands a heavy elbow. Bendes working Biers over with strikes here. Biers is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Bendes turns him over and now has his back. Biers is breathing heavily. Bendes lands with a hammerfist to the side of Biers's head.
Biers is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bendes lands a shot to the body. Biers is still in real trouble! Can Bendes finish him? I would not like to be Biers right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ched Bendes dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Biers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bendes but Bendes pushes him off and we're back to square one. Biers seems to have recovered his senses. Biers shoots in for a takedown but Bendes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bendes moves into the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bendes has hold of one of Biers's legs. Biers is fighting the takedown attempt but Bendes gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Ched Bendes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bendes sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bendes forces his way into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bendes with the ground and pound from mount. Bendes looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Bendes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Biers has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bendes looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bendes unloading with bombs!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bendes landing strikes from the mount and Biers is in trouble! Bendes lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Bendes lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Biers hang on? Bendes landing punches. Biers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bendes punishing his opponent with strikes. Bendes looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Biers covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
