The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pirosin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pirosin tries to clinch up.
Liana Pirosin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pirosin shoots for a double leg takedown but Bicki sprawls well. He's pushed Pirosin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bicki doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Pirosin moves forwards but Bicki connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Pirosin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A nice side step and Bicki releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Bicki counters with a three punch combo that has Pirosin backing up. Pirosin nods at Bicki to acknowledge the strikes.
Bicki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pirosin moves away.
Bicki is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Bicki counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Bicki lands a really nice looking cross but Pirosin seems unphased.

Bicki's corner calls for a 1-2. Bicki obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

A punch lands to the side of Pirosin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Pirosin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bicki defends well and Pirosin ends up having to push Bicki into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A little jabbing left from Bicki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Bicki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pirosin doesn't manage to clinch there - Bicki circles away.

Bicki swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bicki is trying to break free.
Bicki looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Pirosin is trying to control the position but Bicki postures up.

Pirosin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Bicki is breathing heavily.
Pirosin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pirosin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bicki tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Pirosin manages to move to mount!
