Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willie Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zulu Abagwina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zulu Abagwina will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willie Parsons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zulu Abagwina!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abagwina moves into the clinch successfully.

Parsons tightens his grip and picks Abagwina up, before dumping him to the ground. Abagwina manages to land in guard.
Parsons wants to control from the top but Abagwina keeps moving.
Abagwina not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Parsons loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Parsons drops back looking for a leg! Abagwina is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Abagwina manages to kick Parsons off! Parsons jumps back into Abagwina's guard.
Parsons wants to stand but Abagwina has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Abagwina has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Parsons is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Abagwina.

Parsons is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Abagwina knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Abagwina stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parsons swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Parsons wants to stand but Abagwina is controlling the position.

Abagwina drops down looking for an ankle pick but Parsons pulls his leg out and moves away.

Parsons thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Abagwina tries to free his leg and advance position but Parsons is retaining full guard.
Abagwina wants to control from the top but Parsons keeps moving.

Parsons has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Abagwina is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Abagwina tries to pass the half guard into mount. Parsons knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Abagwina is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Parsons wants to control but Abagwina is keeping busy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Abagwina throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Abagwina lands a head shot.


It looks like Willie Parsons has been cut.

Abagwina tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Parsons was well out of range. Poor timing from Abagwina.
Parsons throws a quick counter kick to the body but Abagwina avoids it.

Parsons has Abagwina pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Parsons pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Abagwina tumbling to the mat - Parsons dives into Abagwina's guard.

A quick step to the side and Parsons tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Abagwina jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parsons walks away with a smile on his face. Abagwina gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Abagwina closes the distance and pushes Parsons back into the cage.

Parsons drags the fight down to the ground.
Parsons keeping full guard, as Abagwina tries to pass.
Abagwina takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Parsons pushes Abagwina off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Abagwina is trying to pull guard but Parsons has him pressed against the cage.

Parsons pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Parsons closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Abagwina tries to buck Parsons off but Parsons is having none of it.

Parsons is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Abagwina can do to turn this around?

Parsons creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Parsons is looking to take a break and control but Abagwina is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Abagwina misses with a wild combination.
As Abagwina looks to move away, Parsons throws a big counter combo bu Abagwina just gets out of the way.
Parsons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Abagwina's waist but Abagwina gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parsons off to one side.

Abagwina closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Parsons drags the fight down to the ground.
Abagwina trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Willie Parsons showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Parsons has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
