The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Foster, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Masters tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Foster connects with a good right hand that stumbles Masters. Masters circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Michael Masters has been cut. A big right from Foster misses. Masters should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Masters has Foster up against the cage in a clinch.
Masters crunches a lovely knee into Foster's ribcage. This has been an exciting period of action! Foster tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Masters with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Jake Foster has been cut. A knee to the head by Masters.
Masters lands an elbow inside that Foster shrugs off. Masters lands a knee to the head.
Foster changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Masters fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Masters fails with an attempt to clinch.
Foster pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Masters steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Foster. Foster is breathing heavily. Foster throws an overhand right that lands on Masters's shoulder, as Masters tries to avoid the shot. Foster throws a jab but it's blocked by Masters. Masters takes the fight into the clinch. Masters is pressed up against the cage. Foster has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Masters down to the mat. Masters avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Foster. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masters moves into range and clinches up with Foster. Masters with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. A knee to the head by Masters.
The referee calls for Masters to work.
Masters lands a nice elbow.
Foster is rocked!
Jake Foster's cut is getting worse. Masters lands a knee to the head.
Oh Foster is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A nice right hand lands inside from Masters.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masters has Foster pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Foster is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Masters - that's hurt Foster badly! Oh, another knee lands and Foster is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Foster doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Michael Masters!
