Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samantha Sweetheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweetheart stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sweetheart wants it to stay on the feet.
Sweetheart tries a quick counter leg kick but Berg is wise to it.
Sweetheart throws a head kick but Berg moves out of range.
Sweetheart closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Berg to the mat! Berg manages to get full guard.

Sweetheart tries to free his leg and advance position but Berg is retaining full guard.
Berg lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Berg drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Berg jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Berg passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

Sweetheart is holding on to half guard well.
Berg prevents Sweetheart from improving his position.
Berg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sweetheart is trying to control but can't.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Berg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sweetheart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Berg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A head kick misses from Sweetheart.
Sweetheart moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Berg fails with an attempt to clinch.
Berg moves out of range of the body kick.
Berg tries to counter by clinching up but Sweetheart breaks away and moves out of range.
Sweetheart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sweetheart lands a nice leg kick that just misses Berg's sensitive parts.
Berg is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sweetheart's half guard.
Berg throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Sweetheart tries to kick Berg off but Berg keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Sweetheart has his hands clasped together around Berg's back. He's all about the action.

A close round but Samantha Sweetheart will probably get the nod.
That's time! Berg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sweetheart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Berg throws a right and a left that both miss.
Berg goes for a double leg but Sweetheart avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sweetheart continues to drive forward.
Sweetheart throws a fast counter high kick but Berg manages to duck under it in time.
Sweetheart misses with a kick to the body.
Sweetheart tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Berg tries to counter with a takedown but Sweetheart is quick to defend against it.
Sweetheart thumps Berg with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An inside leg kick lands from Sweetheart.
Sweetheart looks to land a body kick but Berg moved away.
Sweetheart manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Berg on his heels. He'll look to pass Berg's guard now, I'm sure.

Berg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sweetheart manages to get himself to full guard.
Berg really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Berg working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sweetheart wants to improve his position but instead Berg has moved into half guard.
Berg is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sweetheart is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Let's hope that Sweetheart has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Sweetheart wants to get back to full guard but Berg has passed into side control.

Sweetheart tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Berg presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sweetheart regains half guard.
Sweetheart wants to get back to full guard but Berg has mounted him!
Poor strikes thrown by Berg there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Sweetheart wants to control but Berg is having none of it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Berg tries for a takedown but Sweetheart sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Berg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sweetheart.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berg has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sweetheart has passed into side control.
Berg is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Berg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sweetheart manages to get himself to full guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Samantha Sweetheart is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dexter Berg.
I think Sweetheart has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
