Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samson Savea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leeroy Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Samson Savea! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leeroy Russo! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo slaps away a takedown attempt from Savea, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've been hearing reports that Savea has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Russo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Russo moves into range and clinches up with Savea. Russo unloads a knee to the mid-section. Russo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Savea.
Savea tries to pull guard but Russo won't allow it.
Savea throws a punch but it's blocked by Russo. Russo misses with a short punch on the inside. Russo lands with a short shot to the head. Russo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Savea shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Russo defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samson Savea. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Russo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Savea counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Russo!
That's one minute gone in the round. Savea working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Savea postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Savea tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Russo tries to improve position but can't. Savea looks up at the clock and then as Russo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Savea smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Savea wants to stand but Russo has his arm trapped. Russo wants to control but Savea postures up. Russo tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ground and pound from Savea seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Russo is looking for a sweep. Russo regains half guard. Savea prevents Russo from standing back up.
Savea is keen to just control but Russo is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Russo is looking to improve his position.
Savea is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Russo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Savea is working away from the top position though. Russo actively working from the bottom here. Savea prevents Russo from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savea is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Russo is trying to get back to full guard. Savea passes to side control. Savea looks up at the clock and then as Russo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Savea smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Russo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Savea pulls his head out easily. Savea passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Savea scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Russo is trying desperately to improve position. Savea looking to secure an arm triangle but Russo defends it well. Russo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Russo tries to hold on but Savea pushes him away. Savea trying to control but Russo is having none of it. Russo is desperately trying to improve his position but Savea has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samson Savea dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Savea has taken the fight to the clinch.
Russo lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Savea or not. Savea tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Still in the clinch, Russo scores with a nice short uppercut. Russo breaks from the clinch.
Russo throws a head kick that Savea semi-blocks.
Whack! Russo lands a heavy head kick that drops Savea. The ref tackles Russo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Savea was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Leeroy Russo! Leeroy Russo gave a mention to Affordable Quality + Reliable Laundry in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
