Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Green! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away. Green closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Green throws a strike aimed at the side of Brown's head but Brown avoids it well. Green trying to control the action but Brown is working from the bottom. Brown is looking for a sweep. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Brown sneaks back into half guard. Brown is looking for a sweep. Green is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brown moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Brown working for a triangle but Green defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Green doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Green manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Green avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Brown is breathing heavily. Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Green wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. Green thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Green works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown looking for submissions off his back. Green prevents Brown from improving his position. Green is looking to advance position but Brown won't allow it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Green gets the takedown into side control. Brown is looking to regain half guard here but Green keeps moving and retains side control. Brown is not content to let Green control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brown has escaped the position, nice work there. Brown gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Brown is pressing down on Green's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Brown is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brown looking for a triangle here. Green is fighting it but it looks tight! Brown pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Green is tapping out - this one is all over!
