Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda falls off balance throwing a combination
and Man counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Maeda throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Man.
Man takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Maeda misses the shot to the body.
Man misses with a double jab.
And Maeda tries to counter it with a takedown but Man pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Maeda swings for the body but Man moves out of range.
Maeda throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Man's head.
Maeda lands the left hand.
Man throws a good cross that connects.
Man looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Maeda pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Man swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Maeda is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Man.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maeda shoots in but no luck this time.
It looked like Man was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Man throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Maeda crashing down! Maeda tries to stagger back to his feet but Man just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Maeda asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ice Man!
Ice Man retains his welterweight title!
After winning the bout, Ice Man thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
