The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hatake has time to react.
Speed avoids the head kick by Hatake.
Speed jabs at Hatake's body.
Speed lands with a kick to the temple. Hatake shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Speed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hatake.
Speed lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Nice sprawl there from Speed as Hatake shoots in.
It appears Speed was looking to counter with a kick there.
Hatake looks to score with a jab to the body but Speed is just out of range.
Speed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hatake at a distance.
Speed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Speed swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Hatake counters with a solid body kick.

Hatake bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've been informed that Hatake has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Speed fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Speed tries to bum rush Hatake with a series of wild strikes but Hatake uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rufus Speed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hatake looks to land a right hand but Speed moved out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Speed on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Speed misses with a straight right.
Hatake darts in looking for a takedown but Speed gets double underhooks and turns Hatake into the cage.
