Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Unai Arana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arana kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is NoMeansNo - Beat on the Brat. Vaughn has chosen A-Wax- Real One as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn misses the jab.
A quick step to the side and Arana tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vaughn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vaughn somewhat.
Vaughn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Vaughn lands with a hook. Arana tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vaughn is defended easily by Arana.
Arana looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch lands to the side of Arana 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Vaughn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Arana appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Arana takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Vaughn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Arana.

Chris Vaughn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vaughn shoots for a double leg takedown but Arana sprawls well. He's pushed Vaughn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looked like Arana was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vaughn.

Vaughn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Vaughn feints and then cracks Arana's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Arana down.
Vaughn drops his hands momentarily and Arana takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Arana stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vaughn.

Vaughn just misses with a punch to the body.
A counter left hand to the body from Arana misses its target.
Vaughn lands a nice leg kick that just misses Arana's sensitive parts.
Arana throws a leg kick but Vaughn checks it.

and Vaughn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vaughn throws a solid leg kick but Arana takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Vaughn.
Vaughn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Arana to score with a decent uppercut.

and Arana counters with a crisp one two that drops Vaughn! Arana thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Vaughn to his feet! Vaughn is in big trouble!
A telegraphed right hand from Arana misses the target.
Vaughn clobbers Arana with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Vaughn throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Vaughn slips a jab from Arana.
Arana misses with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Vaughn dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vaughn tries to close the distance and clinch but Arana swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Arana fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vaughn has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Chris Vaughn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A little feinted left hand from Arana on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vaughn lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Arana has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Arana and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Arana lands a big head kick that sends Vaughn tumbling to the mat! Arana takes a step backwards and waves Vaughn back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Arana tries to work over Vaughn's front leg with a kick but Vaughn checks it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Unai Arana.
I think Vaughn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
