Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koji Murosaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Rafal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murosaki comes into the arena with Now We Are Free blaring out of the sound system. On his way into the cage it seems that Koji Murosaki has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Koji Murosaki seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dawid Rafal! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murosaki just misses with a punch to the body.
Rafal lands with an overhand left. Rafal throws an overhand right that lands on Murosaki's shoulder, as Murosaki tries to avoid the shot. Rafal lands with an overhand left. Rafal feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Murosakis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rafal throws a lazy uppercut
and Murosaki counters by moving into the clinch. Murosaki gets a trip takedown into half guard. Rafal controlling the position for now. Murosaki controlling the action here. Murosaki has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Murosaki wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Murosaki fails with a takedown attempt. Dawid Rafal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Murosaki shoots in for a double leg but Rafal sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rafal appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. That's one minute gone in the round. Murosaki avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rafal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murosaki manages to avoid it. Murosaki appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Rafal throws a leg kick that is checked and Murosaki counters with a nice uppercut. Rafal fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Murosaki has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rafal throws a leg kick that misses. That's two minutes gone in the round. Rafal connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Dawid Rafal seems to be getting the better of the standup. No luck with that takedown attempt from Murosaki. Rafal feints and then cracks Murosaki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Murosaki down. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rafal misses with a low kick. Murosaki avoids the body shot from Rafal.
A little feinted left hand from Murosaki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Murosaki fails in his attempt to clinch. Rafal listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Murosaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rafal tries to avoid it but Murosaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rafal to the ground. Murosaki was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Murosaki shoots for a takedown but Rafal saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Murosaki darts in looking for a takedown but Rafal gets double underhooks and turns Murosaki into the cage. Rafal is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Nice uppercut there from Rafal. Rafal misses with a jab, cross combination.

Dawid Rafal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Murosaki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Murosaki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rafal won't be happy with that. Murosaki in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Murosaki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Murosaki has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rafal stuffs the takedown attempt from Murosaki. Murosaki gets slowly back to his feet. Murosaki fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rafal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rafal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Murosaki. Rafal bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Rafal digs a good body shot into Murosaki's ribs. Rafal pushes down on Murosaki's head and hops out. Rafal follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Rafal throws a nice inside leg kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rafal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Murosaki sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rafal throws a front kick that sends Murosaki stumbling back into the cage. Rafal throws the left hand but Murosaki avoids the punch easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close third round but Dawid Rafal just about did enough to take it. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rafal wants to pass the guard but Murosaki is keeping the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rafal preventing the sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Murosaki drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Murosaki postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Murosaki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Murosaki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Murosaki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rafal paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dawid Rafal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murosaki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Rafal dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Murosaki. That did some damage! A jab from Rafal finds it's way through Murosaki's defenses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rafal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Well,Murosaki is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes? Rafal misses with a body shot.

Murosaki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rafal walks away with a smile on his face. Murosaki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Murosaki fails with a takedown attempt. Rafal getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Murosaki shoots in and gets a takedown into Rafal's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Murosaki wants to control from the top but Rafal keeps moving. Koji Murosaki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rafal working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Murosaki.
And that's the end of the fight! Dawid Rafal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Rafal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
