Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Griggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Griggs. Those never looked like landing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Griggs throws a hook to the side of Lee's head but Lee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lee shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Griggs is trying to defend but Lee finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Griggs is just riding it out for now. Lee eventually gives up the hold.
Lee wants to take a breather but Griggs is having none of it.

Lee prevents Griggs from improving his position.

Griggs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Griggs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chad Griggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Griggs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Griggs.
Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Griggs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Lee postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Griggs is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lee, into his guard.

Griggs throws a big right hand that misses.

Griggs is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Lee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Griggs passes Lee's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Griggs controlling the action here.
Griggs drops an elbow to the side of Lee's head.
Griggs frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Lee really wants to buck Griggs off and get back to his feet.
Lee is in a horrible position here. Griggs smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Griggs with shots to the head and body - Lee looks very uncomfortable down there.
Oh Lee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Griggs loads up with a big shot that hurts Lee! He's pulled Griggs in close but Griggs has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Lee survive? More strikes from Griggs and Lee is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
