The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carini fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Carini has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but O Brian regains guard immediately.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
