Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Quint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Hugo Wolf enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Sam Quint! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hugo Wolf! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quint throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wolf counters with a nice double leg into guard. Wolf throws a big elbow that misses. Quint looking to control.
Wolf trying to control the position from guard on top but Quint is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wolf missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wolf looking to pass the guard. Wolf stopping the sweep attempt from Quint. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quint is trying to control the position but Wolf postures up. Wolf lands a couple of digs. Wolf loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wolf stands up over Quint, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolf is working Quint over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Wolf postures up and lands a big shot to Quint's brow. Wolf lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wolf postures up in Quint's guard and throws a big left but Quint blocks it. Quint is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Quint trying to control the position here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Quint with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sam Quint is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quint throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sam Quint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wolf looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Wolf shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Quint's guard. Quint preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wolf in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wolf being controlled here momentarily. Quint wants to sweep but no luck. Wolf with a flurry of punches that miss. Quint looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf throwing strikes but missing. Quint controls Wolf momentarily but Wolf frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wolf will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Quint looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Wolf shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quint sprawls well. Quint wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wolf gets slowly back to his feet. Quint fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wolf, pushing him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A short left from Quint. Quint lands a left hand.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wolf blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Quint displaying some good clinch control by pressing Wolf up against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Quint creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sam Quint will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wolf throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Quint sees it coming and avoids it easily. It looked like Quint wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Wolf shoots for a takedown but Quint saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Quint lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Quint throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wolf. Wolf avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Quint dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wolf. That did some damage! Quint lands a nice looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quint lands a front kick. Quint misses the shot to the body. Wolf changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Wolf dives in for a single leg takedown but Quint sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolf doesn't succeed with the takedown and Quint counters with a one-two to the body. Sam Quint has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugo Wolf. Quint throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Quint swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wolf. Quint throws a body kick that misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wolf! But no joy. Wolf shoots for a takedown but Quint saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Quint stuffs the takedown attempt from Wolf. Wolf gets slowly back to his feet. Quint fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quint swings away with a leg kick that misses. Wolf shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Quint throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wolf on the side of the head. A swing and a miss from Quint. Wolf drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Quint defends it well. Quint throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wolf. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Quint throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Quint stuffs the takedown attempt from Wolf. Wolf gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Wolf takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Quint throws a nice outside leg kick. Wolf wants to clinch. Quint takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Wolf counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wolf preventing the sweep. Hugo Wolf has got the better of the ground game so far. Wolf postures up in Quint's guard and throws a big left but Quint blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quint is trying to keep Wolf in close.
Wolf throws an elbow that misses. Quint uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wolf's guard. Nice move by Quint! Wolf is trying to keep Quint in close.
Wolf wants to sweep here but Quint controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Quint dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Wolf slips a straight right by Quint. Sam Quint is winning the standup battle so far. Wolf shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quint pinned against the cage. Quint gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wolf has a takedown stuffed. Quint scores with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quint misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wolf.
Wolf shoots in looking for a takedown. Quint tries to sprawl out of it but Wolf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quint manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sam Quint has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugo Wolf.

Quint throws an overhand right that lands on Wolf's shoulder, as Wolf tries to avoid the shot. Decent striking displayed by Quint there. Wolf fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Quint avoids it really well and circles away. Sam Quint is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolf drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quint is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wolf can do to turn this around? Quint is looking for a sweep. Quint struggling a bit here. Wolf with the ground and pound but Quint regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Quint has hold of Wolf's hands but Wolf slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Quint is trying to maintain the position but Wolf is very close to passing his half guard. Wolf throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wolf not landing any meaningful shots this time. Wolf throwing shots but Quint is blocking nicely. Wolf is nestled in close to Quint, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Wolf working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wolf misses with a head shot. Quint uses the momentum to regain guard. Quint trying to keep a closed guard but Wolf is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wolf lands a couple of digs. Quint controls Wolf momentarily but Wolf frees himself.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wolf moves forwards but Quint connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wolf with a lazy takedown attempt and Quint counters with a lovely straight right hand! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A chopping leg kick lands by Quint. Hugo Wolf has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wolf fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Quint showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Quint, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Sam Quint! Sam Quint decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
