Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zito Bandito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Koppany Nagy! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nagy thuds his right hand into Bandito's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Koppany Nagy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bandito lands a jab to the nose. Nagy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A big left from Nagy misses. Bandito appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Bandito moves forwards but Nagy connects with a nice, crisp jab. Nagy looks to land a combination but Bandito avoids it well. Bandito lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Bandito has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nagy avoids the body shot from Bandito.
Nagy throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bandito moves out of range as Nagy strikes. Bandito half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Bandito drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Bandito throws a big shot that misses. Nagy closes the distance looking to clinch and Bandito counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Nagy! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nagy is pushing Bandito's head away, looking to escape. Bandito manages to hold on to the position though. Bandito landing a few strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nagy tries to escape but Bandito is in control. Bandito lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Nagy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nice strikes from Bandito there. Nagy flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bandito takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bandito is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Nagy throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bandito is pressing down on Nagy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nagy is holding on for now. Nagy wants to get back to his feet. Nagy trying to control from the bottom.
Well, if Bandito is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Nagy taking some punishment here, with Bandito in his half guard. Bandito working Nagy over with strikes. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bandito connects with a nice short shot to Nagy's temple. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nagy can do anything to dispel that myth. Nagy tries to kick Bandito off but Bandito keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Bandito is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bandito seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bandito scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Nagy is rocked! Nagy looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nagy tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bandito manages to move to mount!
Nagy is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Nagy is looking to get to half guard. Bandito has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bandito connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Bandito unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Nagy wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Bandito celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zito Bandito! In his post fight interview, Zito Bandito started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
