Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Davis Bushby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and speedy devil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bushby comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Bad Boy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davis Bushby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, speedy devil! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! devil tries to close the distance and clinch but Bushby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bushby wants to clinch but devil slips to the side and devil counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by devil. Bushby has devil pulled in close to control his posture. Bushby throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Bushby controlling devil's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bushby is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
devil looking to sit in guard and control but Bushby gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bushby has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bushby sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bushby will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. devil is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bushby controlling from the top position. Bushby seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down devil for as long as he can get away with. Bushby slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. devil tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bushby wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. devil tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. devil is working to get back to half guard.
Bushby controlling the pace for now. devil tries to reverse the position but Bushby maintains control. Bushby looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. devil is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
devil can't escape the position.
devil tries to hold on but Bushby postures up. Bushby wants to finish this one by submission but devil is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bushby. devil is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. devil is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bushby avoids the attempt from devil to control. devil really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bushby scoring with strikes but devil is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Davis Bushby will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bushby has his takedown stuffed and devil counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bushby misses with a takedown and devil counters with a single leg into guard. Bushby didn't expect that. Bushby tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bushby keeping moving, preventing devil from controlling successfully. Bushby is pulling down on devil's head to control his posture. devil tries to free his leg and advance position but Bushby is retaining full guard. Bushby bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in devil's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. devil wants to hit a switch here but Bushby passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for devil there! Bushby controlling his opponent. devil tries to lock up and control but Bushby gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. devil keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bushby controlling from the full mount. devil tries to hold on but Bushby postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. devil has given up his back. Will we see Bushby going for some submissions?
I really don't envy devil right now.
Bushby is trying to stick to devil's back but devil is turning into Bushby. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bushby's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by devil. devil stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bushby swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bushby working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from devil. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bushby is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. devil wants to control the position but Bushby says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Bushby is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Davis Bushby will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
devil feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bushby has control of devil's left arm, preventing devil from doing any damage. Bushby keeping moving, preventing devil from controlling successfully. Bushby trying to control the position here. devil stands up from Bushby's guard - devil perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bushby feints and as devil raises his hands in defense, Bushby changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bushby controls from within his opponent's guard. devil looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Bushby stays in close to devil's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. devil wants to sweep here but Bushby controlling him for the moment. Bushby looking to pass the guard. Bushby slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Davis Bushby just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Bushby throws a combination that misses and devil counters with a nice double leg into guard. speedy devil has got the better of the ground game so far. devil is pushing down on Bushby's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bushby is fighting to maintain full guard but devil has managed to sneak the leg through. devil is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bushby is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. devil wants to pass the guard but Bushby is defending well. devil wants to stand but Bushby has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. speedy devil has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! devil takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bushby is refusing to be controlled, as devil sits in half guard. Bushby is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of devil's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take devil's back! Bushby has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, devil has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
devil is trying to stand back up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to speedy devil. I think Bushby has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
