Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Papy Abedi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Schultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Papy Abedi!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Abedi circles away.
Abedi shoots in and bounces Schultz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Schultz wants to sweep here but Abedi controlling him for the moment.
Abedi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Schultz's head.
Schultz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Abedi on the ground.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Abedi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Schultz can't keep his opponent in guard - Abedi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Abedi lands a nice short elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abedi seems to be working for a kimura but Schultz defends the submission attempt.
Abedi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Abedi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Abedi scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Abedi connects with a nice short shot to Schultz's temple.
Schultz is rocked!
Abedi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Abedi scores with a big shot! Schultz's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Schultz! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Papy Abedi!
