Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ritchie Lampbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caiman Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ritchie Lampbert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Caiman Hendrix! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lampbert fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hendrix sprawls well initially but Lampbert persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hendrix is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hendrix flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lampbert is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hendrix has his hands clasped together around Lampbert's back. He's all about the action. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in half guard, Lampbert seems content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendrix is trying to get back to full guard. Hendrix wants to control but Lampbert is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hendrix is staying active underneath Lampbert, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Hendrix decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hendrix wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lampbert keeps working. Lampbert is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hendrix is working for a kimura but Lampbert is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendrix seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lampbert does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lampbert is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Beat Down Under that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
