Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Hendry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Wobinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendry comes into the arena with Scotland The Brave blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alistair Hendry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Wobinson! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wobinson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hendry but Hendry pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hendry appears to be looking for a big counter. A swing and a miss from Hendry. Alistair Hendry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hendry throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hendry throws a right and a left that Wobinson avoids nicely. Hendry connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wobinson. Wobinson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Wobinson defending well as Hendry loads up on a big left hand. Wobinson throws a big counter head kick but Hendry avoids it with no problem. Hendry throws a lazy right hand but Wobinson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hendry throws a body punch but Wobinson moves out of range. Wobinson unleashes a big counter combination but Hendry bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Hendry throws a jab but it's blocked by Wobinson. Hendry has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hendry misses with a left hand and Wobinson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hendry misses with a wild body shot. Hendry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wobinson was well out of range. Poor timing from Hendry. Hendry misses with a hook. Hendry lands a nice shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wobinson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hendry. Wobinson tries to clinch up and Hendry counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hendry misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A big right from Hendry misses. A jab from Hendry misses. Hendry stuffs the takedown. Hendry misses with a few strikes there.
Wobinson throws a big counter head kick but Hendry avoids it with no problem. Hendry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hendry throws a hook but Wobinson avoids it easily. Hendry lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Wobinson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hendry. Hendry cracks Wobinson with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wobinson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Wobinson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hendry quickly recovers to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hendry is trying to maintain the position but Wobinson is very close to passing his half guard. Wobinson wants to take a breather but Hendry is having none of it. Hendry trying to control here.
Still in half guard, Wobinson seems content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hendry tries to kick Wobinson off but Wobinson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hendry on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hendry tries to get out of the position. Hendry keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hendry is defending against the submission attempts here by Wobinson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wobinson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wobinson passes to side control. Hendry holding on. Wobinson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hendry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wobinson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Wobinson tries for a kimura but Hendry is defending well. Alistair Hendry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Wobinson. Hendry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wobinson.
Hendry stuffs the takedown attempt from Wobinson. Wobinson gets slowly back to his feet. Alistair Hendry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hendry misses the shot to the body. Hendry shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wobinson eats them both and turns towards Hendry to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Hendry is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wobinson can do to turn this around? Hendry throws a right hand that Wobinson ducks under and follows up with a left that Wobinson also avoids with ease. Hendry throws a lazy uppercut
so Wobinson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hendry looking for a sweep. Not yet Hendry, not yet. Hendry wants to control but Wobinson passes easily into half guard.
Wobinson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hendry keeps working.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wobinson wants to free his trapped foot but Hendry is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wobinson stops Hendry from getting back to his feet.
Wobinson is thwarting Hendry's attempts to control the position. Hendry is trying to get back to full guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hendry makes his way to full guard, as Wobinson worked for a kimura.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hendry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wobinson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wobinson won't allow Hendry to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hendry misses with a looping left. Wobinson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hendry. Despite the aggression on Wobinson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. A big right from Hendry misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A punch combination from Hendry misses. A combination from Hendry does no damage. Hendry connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Wobinson walks into a left hand. Hendry falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wobinson counters by clinching up. Wobinson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hendry prevents a takedown attempt there.

Jake Wobinson has got the better of the ground game so far. Wobinson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hendry scores with a couple of nice shots. Nice strikes from Hendry there. This has been an exciting period of action! Hendry looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wobinson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wobinson is pressing down on Hendry's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hendry postures up.
Our spies down at at Farrell Pikey Camp inform us that Wobinson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Hendry is in close to Wobinson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Wobinson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wobinson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hendry. Wobinson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hendry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hendry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hendry wants to control from the top but Wobinson keeps moving. Hendry is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendry is in close to Wobinson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hendry throws a big right hand that misses. Hendry looking to sit in guard and control but Wobinson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wobinson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hendry is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hendry has escaped and now he's on top!
Wobinson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hendry defends well. Hendry looking to pass the guard. Alistair Hendry is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wobinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hendry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hendry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wobinson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hendry throws a big right hand that misses. Wobinson working for a triangle but Hendry defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hendry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hendry not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hendry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wobinson on the ground. Hendry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wobinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hendry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wobinson is looking for a triangle but Hendry pushes his legs off easily.
Jake Wobinson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hendry is stalling in the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Alistair Hendry showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hendry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
