Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deji Aldo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hert's head.
It looks like Chris Hert has been cut.
Aldo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Aldo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Aldo's coach down at Midnight MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Aldo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A head kick misses from Aldo.
Hert throws a hook to the side of Aldo's head but Aldo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Aldo counters with a body kick.
Aldo tries a head kick but it misses.
Aldo misses with a kick to the body
enabling Hert to counter with a crisp jab.
Aldo lands a big head kick that sends Hert tumbling to the mat! Aldo takes a step backwards and waves Hert back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Hert is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aldo scores with a kick to the midsection.
Oh Hert is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aldo cracks Hert's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Hert slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Aldo can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Deji Aldo!
