The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer scores with a body shot.
Hermit shoots in but Spencer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Spencer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hermits jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hermit shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Spencer to counter with a crisp jab.

and Hermit takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Joe Spencer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drunken Hermit.
Hermit takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Spencer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hermit fails with the takedown
and Spencer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hermit drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spencer throws a series of strikes that have Hermit backpedaling.
Spencer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hermit on the side of the head.
Hermit is rocked!
Hermit dives in for a single leg takedown but Spencer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hermit is still on wobbly legs! Can Spencer finish him?
OH! Hermit has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Spencer smells blood and charges in for the finish! Spencer unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Hermit sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Joe Spencer!
