Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herbert French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cavin Rack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herbert French has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herbert French!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cavin Rack!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

French shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
French thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
French sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rack defending well though.
Rack avoiding damage under a succession of punches from French.
Rack trying to control from the bottom.
French misses with a head shot. Rack uses the momentum to regain guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rack looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
French wants to get up but he can't break Rack's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
French really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rack avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Rack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. French was covering up waiting for the punch and Rack finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rack is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

French pulls Rack in close to prevent any damage.

French controls Rack momentarily but Rack frees himself.

Rack prevents French from getting back to his feet.
French is striking off his back. Rack thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
French is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rack jumps into side control!
French sneaks back into half guard.

French looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Rack pushes past his half guard into mount!

French keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Rack lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Rack working for a submission but French is keeping him at bay.
French has given up his back here.
Rack is hanging on to French's back as he tries to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rack wants to control but French is keeping busy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rack is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. French is defending well though. Rack let's go of the attempt for now.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


French has a takedown stuffed.

Rack scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

French shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rack sprawls well. Rack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. French gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herbert French. That's going to take a lot out of him.
French shoots in for a takedown but Rack shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Herbert French is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

French fails to land with a series of punches.

French gets caught flat footed, as Rack shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

French throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rack uses it to pass to side control.
French is not content to let Rack control the position.
French knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rack on the ground.
Rack controls the position.

Rack wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by French, who protects the arm well.
French tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

French can't do much from the bottom here.

Rack stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Rack shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. French manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
French doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

French is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rack. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
French is looking to stand back up but Rack counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by French.
Rack takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Rack passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for French!
Rack avoids the attempt from French to control.

French is rocked!
Rack lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Oh French is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
French is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Rack has taken his back!

Rack is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. French has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Rack has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! French taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Rack doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cavin Rack!
