0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Don Macias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Garrett Hawke! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawke thows a left - swing and a miss! Hawke throws a sloppy head kick and Macias moves out of range easily. Hawke moves into the clinch successfully.
Macias tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Macias jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hawke walks away with a smile on his face. Macias gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Macias. That's going to take a lot out of him. Macias just misses with a punch to the body.
Hawke scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hawke is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hawke is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Macias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. You can see the frustration on Macias's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Hawke creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Hawke wants to stand but Macias is controlling his arm. Hawke landing a few strikes. Hawke controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Macias tries to keep at a distance but Hawke has taken the fight into the clinch. Hawke breaks from the clinch.

Macias is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hawke pulls him back up using the underhooks. Macias is trying to pull guard but Hawke has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Macias. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hawke lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Hawke stops a takedown attempt from Macias.

Hawke is leaning against Macias and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Macias tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hawke just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hawke has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hawke fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Macias, pushing him back against the cage.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hawke in particular looking to stall. Macias is trying to maintain the position but Hawke is very close to passing his half guard.

Hawke tries to stand but Macias is controlling from the bottom. Hawke looking to control the position here, rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Macias is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hawke to keep the fight standing. Don Macias has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Garrett Hawke is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Macias manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Garrett Hawke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hawke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
