Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Heliodoro Zuberi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Ovan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Ovan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Heliodoro Zuberi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Don Ovan! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zuberi shoots in for a double leg but Ovan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ovan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zuberi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ovan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zuberi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ovan wants to stand but Zuberi is controlling his arm. Ovan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Zuberi regains half guard. Ovan trying to control the action but Zuberi is working from the bottom. Zuberi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Zuberi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ovan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ovan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ovan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Zuberi wants to sweep but no luck. Ovan looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zuberi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ovan's guard. Ovan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Zuberi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Zuberi wants to pass the guard but Ovan is keeping the position. Zuberi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zuberi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ovan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Zuberi pushes down on Ovan's leg and manages to get into half guard. Zuberi trying to pass the guard but Ovan defending well. Zuberi is trying to work for a kimura but Ovan is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ovan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ovan. Ovan looking for a sweep. Not yet Ovan, not yet. Ovan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Zuberi passes easily into side control. Nice work. Zuberi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ovan wants to get back to his feet but Zuberi drags him back down. Zuberi advances to mount. Ovan is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zuberi working for a submission but Ovan is keeping him at bay. Zuberi is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Ovan is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Ovan flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Zuberi anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Ovan and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Zuberi slips an arm under Ovan chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Zuberi has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Zuberi is squeezing on Ovan like an anaconda would it's prey. Ovan fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
