Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Zarco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, King Typhaze! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zarco changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Zarco bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Typhaze has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Zarco thuds his right hand into Typhaze's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Typhaze throws a body shot but no joy. Typhaze throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Zarco to counter with a crisp jab. Typhaze throws a sloppy head kick and Zarco moves out of range easily. Zarco throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Zarco throws a nice outside leg kick. Typhaze lands a front kick. Typhaze tests Zarco's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Typhaze misses with a lunging right hand
and Zarco counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Zarco. Typhaze misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Zarco.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Typhaze just misses with a elbow thrown towards Zarco's brow. Typhaze tries to land knees in the clinch but Zarco avoids the damage to the body. Zarco lands a right hand that snaps the head of Typhaze backwards. Typhaze lands a left hand that snaps the head of Zarco backwards. Zarco lands with a light punch inside. A knee to the head by Zarco.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zarco pushes Typhaze back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. Typhaze throws a head punch that misses. Typhaze pushes off an throws an elbow but Zarco leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zarco obliges. Zarco putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Typhaze in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Typhaze throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Typhaze struggles to land a body shot inside as Zarco controls his hands.

It looks like King Typhaze has been cut. Zarco cracks Typhaze on the chin with a massive knee! He's been separated from consciousness before he even hits the floor! Absolutely fantastic knee and a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Antonio Zarco! Antonio Zarco decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
