Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Woods!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods punishes Jamani's body with a nice straight punch.

Jamani lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Jamani has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jamani is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Woods really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jamani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Woods throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jamani stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Woods lands with a straight right. Jamani didn't see that one coming.
Woods sizes up Jamani with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jamani shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Woods counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jamani is breathing heavily.
Woods connects with a jab.
Jamani gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Woods to counter with a crisp jab.
Jamani takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jamani gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.


It looks like Manawah Jamani has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jamani takes one to the chin there.
Manawah Jamani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jamani has his takedown stuffed
and Woods counters with a left to the body.
Jamani misses with a takedown attempt
and Woods counters with a stiff right hand.
Jamani takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Woods lands a jab to the nose.
Woods dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Woods works Jamani's body with a nice hook.
Nice jab there from Woods.
Woods cracks a nice hook into Jamani's ribs.
Jamani gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Woods lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Woods dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Manawah Jamani's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Woods digs a good body shot into Jamani's ribs.
Woods lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Woods with a jab.
Woods lands an overhand right.
James Woods seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Woods lands a really nice looking cross but Jamani seems unphased.
Jamani misses with a takedown attempt
and Woods cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jamani takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jamani looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Jamani walks into a left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Woods cracks Jamani with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Oh Jamani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Woods drops Jamani with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Jamani! Woods dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
