Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Amos Miguel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Schoolboy Lamar! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miguel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Miguel wants to work for an arm triangle but Lamar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Miguel is working for a kimura but Lamar is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miguel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lamar defends it well. Miguel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miguel uses his free foot to push down on Lamar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lamar. Miguel looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Lamar is in all sorts of trouble here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lamar can do anything to dispel that myth. Miguel swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lamar is now in Miguel's guard. A big mistake from Miguel there, giving up the dominant position! Lamar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miguel pulls Lamar in close to his closed guard and prevents Lamar from doing any damage or advancing position. Miguel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lamar's guard.
Lamar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Miguel is looking to work some ground and pound but Lamar has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Miguel content to stall in guard here. Miguel trying to control but Lamar is working from the bottom. Miguel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miguel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Miguel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miguel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lamar is trying to maintain a safe position but Miguel gets an underhook and turns Lamar into the cage. Lamar lands an elbow that stopped Miguel in his tracks for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Miguel has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lamar after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amos Miguel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miguel pulls guard effortlessly. Miguel striking off his back. Miguel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
