Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Scarpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lu Kuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lu Kuan struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kuan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Scarpa keeps Kuan at a distance using the push kick.
Scarpa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Scarpa tries to clinch there but Kuan circles away.
Kuan throws out a counter right but Scarpa avoids it with no problem.
Scarpa lands a really nice looking cross but Kuan seems unphased.
Kuan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Kuan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Scarpa's head.

Scarpa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kuan tries to avoid it but Scarpa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kuan to the ground. Kuan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kuan leaves Scarpa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gregory Scarpa will probably get the nod.
