Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Krol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minh Pham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pham fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Krol sprawls well initially but Pham persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Pham seems to be looking for submissions.
Pham is looking to advance position but Krol won't allow it. Pham is working for a submission of some sort.
Krol trying to control but Pham postures up.
Pham is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Krol is just riding it out for now. Pham eventually gives up the hold. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pham is trying to work for a kimura but Krol is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pham trying to control from Krol's half guard. Krol has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Krol keeping moving, preventing Pham from controlling successfully. Pham trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Krol manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Pham is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Krol is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pham has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Krol can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pham escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Krol gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Krol is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pham trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pham is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krol defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krol avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pham is trying to keep Krol in close.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pham is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Krol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pham is looking for a triangle here but Krol uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Krol dives in and scores a takedown into Pham's guard. Minh Pham has got the better of the ground game so far. Krol stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pham swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pham looking to hit a scissor sweep but Krol is one step ahead there. Pham looking for a guillotine here but Krol defends easily.

Pham can't keep hold of the triangle and Krol manages to pass to side control! Pham wants to control but Krol postures up. Krol wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pham, who protects the arm well. Krol tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krol has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pham wants to control but Krol postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pham tries to bench press Krol off him but Krol keeps the position. Pham should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Pham can't do much from the bottom here. Krol seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Pham is tapping! Wow, great finish!
